What a great movie. And one of the featured singers, Claudia Lennear, was there to talk about the movie, her career, and to sing. And oh can she sing. She sang with Ike and Tina Turner and on all of the Rolling Stones Albums. The song "Brown Sugar" was written about here. If you have not seen the movie - then do. It was the Oscar as Best Documentary.
The show was a total sell out. We had not gotten tickets in advance as it is so close to Aviva and Mathew's due date. So we got their an hour early and the two of us were the only ones in line to get in. Two people came up that had tickets that were returned so we got them - what luck.
The entire Music Film is much bigger and better advertised this year and quite a few of the shows are sold out. It has extended to Willits and to the Anderson Valley along with Mendocino and Point Arena where we go Sunday (if no grandbaby yet)
