Our new Prius meets the old Honda

We drove all the way to Folsom to buy it as it was a full $1, 000 than anything around us including the COSTCO price.  Zero interest and no down to boot.  Its green but this picture makes it look blue.

Ashland - The Unfortunates

A mixed review -  Susan - "soso".  Gary - "good".  After the show we drove back to Crescent City where we stayed at the motel on the beach (south side of town) and ordered Thai Food delivered and ate it outside as the sun was setting.

Ashland - Robin Hood

A funny and light show - really enjoyed.  The story on Marion, a different perspective.

Before the show ate at The Loft.  Great food.

Ashland - Liquid Plain

Took a great walk in Lithia Park.  Then we ended up at the Halloween Sale where we bought, bought, bought.  The after noon show was Liquid Plain about the New England Slave Trade.  The first and second parts of the play almost looked like they were written by different writers.  not the best play we've seen in Ashland.

Ashland - Cymbeline

The evening show was Cymbeline.  This is not a Shakespeare shown all that often.  It was a very well done production.  The night was cold but no rain.

We ate dinner Taroko where we had very good Vegi Pho.  Was the perfect thing for a cold night.

Ashland - Tenth Muse

The afternoon show at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival was fantastic.  The Tenth Muse is about women at a Mexican Convent in the 18th century.  Very powerful and emotional.

Ashland and Midsummer Night's Dream

After leaving Chris and Dave in Crescent City - we hiked in Jedidiah Smith Redwoods.  A fantastic hike.  Then we stopped at Foris Winery in Cave Junction along with a new winery (for us) Bridgeview.  Following that we ate a great lunch at a Mexican Restaurant in town before going onto Ashland.  Got to the Columbia Hotel at around 6:00 and ran to dinner at Sesame Asian restaurant.

Saw a delightful version of Midsummer Nights Dream in the rain.  We picked an earlier time this year but its cold and raining.

To Ashland via Crescent City

Left for our Fall trip to Ashland.  This time, Dave and Chris rented a house outside of Crescent City.  We arrived around 5pm after some stops along the way.  Took a great hike at a point on Lake Earl.  Chris and Mike had bought smoked salmon at Farmer's Market and made a fantastic pasta dish.  After dinner we played Mexican Train Dominos until midnight.  A great day.  Spending the night with Dave and Chris was fastastic.

Beach clean-up day

We joined Rose Hirscher on the annual beach clean-up day at Manchester State Beach.  We're pleased to say the beach is pretty clean.  We only filled one large trash bah in three hours.  We did find some strange thin plastic strips - there were literally thousands of these thin strips over the beach.

Sukkot at Rabbi Margaret and Mickey's house

It rained so we were not able to enjoy the sukkah to the full extent but had a fabulous night.  Lots of great food and company.  It did stop raining long enough to go outside for the blessing.

Elk Civic Club Potluck at Bobby Beacon's

We went to a very nice potluck and BBQ at RJ's tonight.  It was warm, very little wind, and the views were great.  We had BBQ veggie burgers and everyone brought nice dishes to share.  I particularly liked the huckleberry pie from wild local huckleberries.

Donna and Leon picked us up.  The Elk Civic League does philanthropic work here in the area and has monthly meetings and gatherings.

Except for the one picture of Donna and one of RJ playing the piano, the rest are of the view.
