Lamb and Pig Roast

The Redwood Coast Fire Department had their annual Lamb and Pig Roast.  Gary set-up and cleaned-up.  Susan peeled lots of potatoes for the salad.  We both worked at the event.

Vera Lee made a great Moroccan Veggie Stew.

Rose wins a $1000 in groceries at Fairway Market in NY

We don't normally share other info on the blog but thought it was exciting that Rose won a $1,000 in shopping at Fairway Market in NYC.  She signed up for their email advertisement and they picked one lucky winner.

Pinot Noir Festival

We volunteered to work at the Pinot Noir Festival in the Anderson Valley.  Tonight was the press reception.  Great food and wine.  

Whole Earth Festival

After a two year absence, we made the Whole Earth Festival this year.  Lots of great gift buying, good food, and some very nice music.  And a great place for people watching.

Ashland

We took our Spring trip to Ashland.  Saw four plays.  August Wilson's "Two Trains Running"; "My Fair Lady"; and "A Streetcar Named Desire" were all excellent.  We were very disappointed in "King Lear".

We stayed in the Victorian Garden.  A great little place very close to everything.  Here's their link  http://www.thevictoriansecret.com/  As usual, lots of pictures were taken. 

We did a day of wine and cheese tasting.  Started our day at our favorite Jewish deli in Jacksonville, Mc Levin's.  Sooooo good.  We then hiked in the park.  There's pictures of this (of course).  And one day we took a walking tour of Lithia Park - its our first tour and was most interesting.
