The Stornetta Family (Clover Farms) tired to donate land to the State of California but they could not guarantee stewardship of the land due the the State's fiscal crisis. Instead the family donated land to the Bureau of Land Management. The ocean views are fantastic including blow holes, an island accessible only a very low tides, views of the Pt Arena Lighthouse, lots of sea life..... There's even a couple of waterfalls that cascade into the Pacific. With another recent land purchase, there's nearly ten miles of continuous oceanfront public land.
There's a group called the Thursday Ramblers and we go on quite a few of the hikes.
